Leonovo ist creating a driver which allows to change UEFI/BIOS settings directly from Linux. In the article there is mentioned that this already exists for DELL-Laptops https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Lenovo-Think-LMI-Driver 
It would be cool, if KDE systemsettings would have KCM which would allow to make these settings directly from KDE.
