clicking on the checkboxes in discover in settings asks for the root passwd, and clicking on a checkbox afterwards does not change the checkboxes visual state (but, refreshing the page by going to ‘about’ and back to ‘settings’ shows the click was indeed successful)
What distro?
Fedora34, with testing updates enabled
and, i have the zawertun/copr enabled to get the latest plasma 5.22.0/.1 repos
Huh, works for me with Fedora 34, with all KDE stuff built from source on top of it. Clicking on the checkbox show an auth prompt, but after I enter my password, the checkbox is checked or unchecked as expected.
I can't confirm this bug with repositories managed by packagekit backend. But I can reproduce with firmware repos, see bug 406295 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.84.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Graphics Platform: X11
Could confirm that at the time, but it's now working for me as well with fwupd backend. Let's call it fixed now.
