BSOD = Windows Blue Screen Of Death

If you really have a BSOD, I think you have a hardware / driver problem.

Thanks Maik for you reply,
Of the many photo applications I am running on this PC, Photoshop, Lightroom, Photolab ... BSOD only happens when running digikam and most all these applications are more resource intensive than digikam. The analysis of the Windows dump file shows the digikam.exe process as the one linked to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. Of course it could be still a drivers/hardware issue, but it is triggered by digikam.
I will be glad to run any test people here may suggest.

I see Ext2FS entries in the Windows Debug Log. Are you using the Ext2-FS Windows driver? Are your images on a Linux drive? I suspect that this driver is the cause.

I can't find any other way than digikam to crash my PC, but I guess you are right, Ext2FS most probably (Disk from a failed backup NAS box). I will keep this report open few days and remove it if nothing new comes.
Thanks

Bug in Ext2-FS driver triggered by Digikam but definitively not a Digikam bug.
