SUMMARY When unicode characters above 0xffff are copy/pasted into a text, they disappear. while I tried to insert the clip before I noticed, kdenlive crashed. The UTF-16 code ends with 0xffff. All what is bigger then 0xffff is not an official UTF-16 code anymore. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-16. Can we close the issue?
Actually UTF-16 goes to U+10FFFF. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utf-16#Code_points_from_U+010000_to_U+10FFFF
You are right, and then it's UTF-8. UTF-8 is what I see in the source code.
