entry in winget upgrade

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. update kdeconnect per winget : winget upgrade kdeconnect
2. list available winget updates : winget upgrade

OBSERVED RESULT
kdeconnect is shown, even though it just got updated

EXPECTED RESULT
kdeconnect should be hidden in "winget upgrade" until actual update gets released

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 2004
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Fixing it should be very easy:
Make sure to send the correct to windows program list.
Currently, it sends the version 21.04.1, even though the version is 21.04.2.618
Comment 1 brute4s99 2021-06-13 23:19:41 UTC
I just installed the latest release version and it says 21.04.2 in the Add or Remove Programs section. I think someone needs to update the yaml file in winget so it pulls the latest release.

UPDATE:

Could fix winget getting wrong version (I had a system-wide installation of kdeconnect I had to remove first)

But it would be nice if you could report the entire version number to windows including .633 just like Nextcloud does: https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139718

Then it should work.
Comment 6 brute4s99 2021-07-02 23:23:50 UTC
actually, KDE Connect follows the KDE Gear Release Cycle according to which all KDE Apps released in a particular cycle are assigned a common version number.

Consequently, the version number you are receiving for KDE Connect in the winget package in fact, checks out just fine.
