SUMMARY If I errornously have assigned a name to a detected face, I would be happy to remove my assignment and return the face to "unknown" or "unconfirmed". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run face detection 2. On an unknown or unconfirmed face, assign a name 3. Try to remove the name (not the face rectangle!) EXPECTED RESULT There is an operation (right-click menu or in the corners of the thumbnail) to unassign a name from a face rectangle. OBSERVED RESULT No such operation found. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Win10 macOS: ./. Linux/KDE Plasma: ./. (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: ./. KDE Frameworks Version: ./. Qt Version: ./. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I've seen https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263399, but I don't believe the response given there is still valid.
When you open the preview image, you can click on the name label under the face rectangle and enter a new name. Maik

If I process many picures, I'd like to unassign a face (because at the time I don't want to think who that is), not to re-assign. Picasa had that function "Remove from album" which acted exactly like "unassign".
