Tiled Menu is pretty explicitly trying to copy the Windows start menu, which is fine. But we don't have that design goal for Kickoff. We're not trying to create a Windows clone. What's the motivation for wanting this? Are there not already enough other ways to access these features?
Hmm, while I don't agree that this feature is a Windows "trademark", other users could have this point of view and the feature might not get well received. It was just an idea to further customization, for example, the menu entries could open specific pages of settings or other apps, making good shortcuts.
