Created attachment 138783 [details] DrKonqi Failing to Backtrace Example SUMMARY I'm fairly certain that I have the required dependencies as suggested in the required packages context menu/link for DrKonqi (I have Plasma installed) but it's not clear how to check otherwise to make sure these really are installed. This basically just causes me, as a user, to unintentionally ignore DrKonqi whenever it goes off because it _never_ produces any meaningfully backtraces (usually with one star or none), effectively making it useless; I've had this issue with every distro I've ever used DrKonqi and Plasma with. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a KDE application crash 2. Open the DrKonqi notification from the system tray 3. Attempt to do the backtrace OBSERVED RESULT There never any (meaningful) results in my experience. EXPECTED RESULT The backtraces would find something to help me report on. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2
You'll want to talk to your distro about that. crash report quality is entirely at the mercy of distro tooling.
Created attachment 139183 [details] Required Debug Information Packages Window However, I just made sure that I have all of the required libraries mentioned, according to DrKonqi, and it still claims that I don't have them? Or is there something else that I'm not understanding about the tooling that I should know better to look into this further?
