Description pugorg 2021-05-24 11:32:40 UTC
SUMMARY
A CSV file to import is not accepted.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click File, Import, CSV
2. Click any of the profiles (Banking, Investment, Exchange rates or Stock prices)
3a. Click Add.
3b. Or: drag and drop a file from Dolphin into the field.

OBSERVED RESULT
3a: nothing happens.
3b: the file path is entered, but the Select file button is not activated.
Neither way allows to continue the wizard.

EXPECTED RESULT
The wizard follows the process, the next expected step would be separators.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Same behavior on Plasma as on Plasma Wayland.

The instructions on the wizard say "Click either Banking, Investment or Prices. Then select existing profile or create new by entering its name and selecting 'Add'. Then open the file you wish to import."

It looks like you did not create or select a profile. If you provide a name for the profile in the edit field and click 'Add' KMyMoney confirms that the profile was created (3a). Your step 3b) does not make sense, because you need a name for the profile not the CSV file. Once a profile is available and selected, the "Select file" button is enabled to proceed with the wizard.

Danke Thomas, I really did RTM, but somehow overlooked the part with entering the name in the text field. I took it for the file path field.
