Drag a message from the message list to a folder and the move copy menu that appears doesn't show mouse hover events as though it is frozen. Clicking the menu and it performs the request action.

Yes, and its now KMail 5.22.0 and latest versions of the software stack as its Arch

Can confirm. When you release the mouse button for drop the mouse cursor remains as drag hand cursor. If I press the Escape keyboard key at this point the mouse cursor becomes normal pointer and also the context menu item hover highlighting works as it should.
