SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a document with Okular 2. Open other documents in new tabs. 3. Try to view two documents side by side. OBSERVED RESULT Unable to find the option to 1. tear off a tab to create a new window or 2. Move a tab to a new window or 3. Split window to view two or more tabs side by side or as a 4x4 grid. These options would appear to be a 'standard' for desktop apps - though some do not behave. EXPECTED RESULT Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.12.1-2-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® HD Graphics 4400 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Concerning 3.: If you want the tiles to show the same document, with synchronized annotations etc. and only one sidebar, that is Bug 169847. If you want the tiles to show different documents, but have only one sidebar that shows e. g. the table of contents of the last activated document, that may also be Bug 169847, but I think that option is currently not considered. If you want the tiles to show different documents, each with an own sidebar, that was already discussed in Bug 169847. I think we agreed that you are supposed to place smaller Okular windows in the desired layout. --- Concerning 1. and 2., and also needed for the last option: If you want to move tabs to/from new windows, that is Bug 339971. --- I close this one, because bug reports are supposed to describe only one issue, and these appear to be at least two issues.
