SUMMARY I have several partitions hidden in the Devices part of Places in Dolphin. However, the ones that I want to keep always visible change every time I restart the computer. The amount of visible visible items remains constant, but the items are not the right ones. I cannot find where these hidden devices are stored (I checked dolphinrc without luck). Maybe if someone helps gives me a hint here, I can further help to debug this issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to Places -> Devices in Dolphin 2. Hide a few partitions or devices 3. Restart computer OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes, wrong partitions are visible. EXPECTED RESULT Hidden partitions remain always hidden, visible ones always visible. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.12.3-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
Should be fixed with recent changed in Dolphin 22.04!
This is not fixed for me with Dolphin 22.04.

Those entries are stored in ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel.
(In reply to Ahmad Samir from comment #4) > Those entries are stored in ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel. Thanks, I removed the file and it worked.
This is still an issue running latest versions of frameworks and plasma.
I'm seeing similar (mis)behaviour on Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 I'm using LUKS on LVM and at the moment dolphin shows me 19 devices out of which I want to see only 3. Sometimes one of the devices changed and sometimes one additional devices get's added. Over the last several days/reboots without my interfering this has resulted in dolphin now showing 7 devices where only 2 of those were in my originally shown group of 3.
This seems to be somehow fixed in kf6 because I'm not seeing this anymore: 20+ reboots over the last 10 days at least and the list of hidden/displayed devices remains constant as I've selected them (setup remains the same as in my last post above). Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Kernel Version: 6.7.10-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Nice! Iyán, can you confirm that?
Yes, I can confirm. I have also not observed this anymore. Closing ;)
