Looks graphics-related. Moving to kwin for now.
I found a workaround. I downloaded fedora 34 normally with gnome preinstalled and then from the command line switched the de to kde plasma. This works fine for my needs, but it would still be more convenient to download a iso image directly from kde.
That's quite a workaround. :)
Crash is in the driver.
