Created attachment 138423 [details] video SUMMARY Various parts of the applet and the configuration menu need better contrast STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Activate the breeze-dark theme 2. Create a note on the desktop 3. Add enough text for the scroll to be displayed OBSERVED RESULT The contrast between the color of the note and the scroll bar on some notes is insufficient to distinguish both. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In the attached video I also show how the text in the transparent note does not have enough contrast to display the text in the preview. See how it looks with the white theme: https://i.imgur.com/80cMDeW.png SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Graphics Platform: X11
The scrollbar looks good to me. What plasma theme and color scheme are you using? Default settings or something else?
I'm using the breeze-dark theme. there is a video attached to the bug, see how the scroll bar of the yellow note has little contrast relative to the background of the note
Gotcha. I can see the same problem using a black color for the note when using a light theme. Because we let you controls both the theme color and also the note color of the widget, I worry that this is not a fixable bug. The scrollbar automatically adjusts its color based on the theme but cannot be easily able to do so based on the overridden color in the widget itself. We're basically saying to the user, "it's now up to you to ensure adequate contrast for the scrollbar (if any)". Maybe there is a way for the scrollbar's color scheme to be overridable locally such that the color note could choose a scrollbar color that preserves adequate contrast for the current color.
