SUMMARY When importing a clip from a video file, the preview is unreliable. This probably has to do with how timecodes work inside a video file, and I very quickly end up with three times as much timespan than I actually needed. This is likely due the nature of video compression. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Try to import a single moment from a video file. A singular character action, preferably. 2. Note the last frame on the preview. 3. When imported, note how the imported section is far too long to encapsulate the whole section, and that the last image is not the one in the preview.
Um, but is this actually fixable? And does it depend on the file format that is imported?
