SUMMARY
When drawing, my sketch layers and the current layer I am working on will either delete, or combine without my input

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open multiple layers
2. draw

OBSERVED RESULT
Layers without my input would combine, or even sometimes delete if not visible

EXPECTED RESULT
layers staying separate, and not being deleted

Can't reproduce. Could you provide a screen recording of what happens?

The "Merge with Layer Below" action has the shortcut key "Ctrl + E" assigned by default, perhaps you have been unknowingly hitting this key combination? You can try removing the shortcut for this action and see if it happens any more.

Does this still happen for you? I've never heard of this before, and I cannot imagine how this could happen.

I haven't seen this recently, so whatever it was is probably gone, but I'm
sure it's not due to any of my inputs
my pen does have an E button, but none of my other buttons are wired to be
JUST control, so I don't see how I could have accidentally pressed ctrl+E
