SUMMARY I want to run digikam 5.9; I unfortunately uninstalled digikam 7.0 but when I install digikam 5.9 I get an error message "The database has been used with a more recent version of digikam and has been updated to a database schema which cannot be used with this version. (This means this digikam version is to old, or the database format is too recent.) Please use the more recent version of digiKam that you used before." which is extremely UNHELPFUL as I have zero interest in running 7.0, I want to run 5.9. How can I delete the database that digiKam 7.0 has created so I can run version 5.9? Please advise. I would like to do something short of wiping my hard drive and reinstalling it with version 5.9. When 7.0 uninstalled, it would be most helpful if it could dlete the databse, too. Thank You, STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. No, we will not delete the database when digiKam is uninstalled. Other users don't want to lose the database when they upgrade to a newer version. You haven't written anything about your system. Windows, Linux or MacOS? Which database type do you use, SQLite or MySQL internal or external? May I also ask why you want to use an old digiKam version with known bugs and not a newer version? Maik
We cannot help without feedback. Since we do not intend to delete an existing database, I close the bug. Maik
