Thanks for your report! Which packaging type do you use for Kdenlive? (Appimage, Flatpak, ppa,…)

How does this report differ to BUG 436792
<https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436792> and *Bug 436759*
<https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436759>?

No difference. I thought the first message was not sent.

Which packaging type do you use for Kdenlive? (Appimage, Flatpak, ppa,…)

I don't know, I downloaded "kdnlive" from the optional applications using
the xUbuntu "Software" application.

Thanks for your answer! Your problem sounds like a packaging issue. The ubuntu packages are not maintained by the Kdenlive team so (if this is a packaging issue) there is unfortunatly not much we can do about it.

Please try to use one of the official downloads: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/ and give of us feedback if the problem persists…

Thanks for your help.
I tried another download method, "install apt-get ....", so the program
works, but with a lower version number of programs (19. *. *).
Background is white, not black, but the save (Ctrl + S) function works
perfectly.

Use the PPA to get the latest version with "install apt-get":

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable
sudo apt-get update

For more information see https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archive/ubuntu/kdenlive-stable

I am setting this to RESOLVED now. Feel free to reopen if the problem occurs again.

I tried the recommended download today.
(
*sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable sudo apt-get update*

*sudo apt-get install kdenlive)*

The version of the program installed in this way is 21.04.0.
Kdenlive Save (Ctrl + S) and Save as .. (Ctrl + Shift + S) work perfectly.
Thanks for your help!
