Description dauntless 2021-05-06 18:46:20 UTC
SUMMARY
Testing a (CryFS) Vault with 60GB of data is unusable in Dolphin, whereas comparatively in VeraCrypt there are no such issues.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add 60GB of files to the Vault (e.g. a Firefox install and 11x 5GB videos in my test). Don't open or otherwise interact with those videos.
2. Browse the Firefox profile folder via Dolphin.

OBSERVED RESULT
Viewing the top-level folder in the Vault in Dolphin consumes 12% CPU. Navigating to new folders makes CPU usage jump between 25-50% and freezes Dolphin for several minutes sometimes.
