SUMMARY At the moment, the active menu tab in Similarity-Duplicates always moves to the first tab. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use the Similarity-Duplicate menu somewhere in the selection birch 2. Visit other parts of the digiKam program as you work 3. Visit other parts of the digiKam program as you work. OBSERVED RESULT When returning to Similarity-Duplicates, the location always moves to the first. EXPECTED RESULT Is it possible for the menu tab to remain the last tab visited when using other windows in the meantime? For example, this would make it easier to compare the xcf, tif, jpg formats of the same image and organize the file names at the same time. Best to do a screencast, I don't understand the problem. If you speak from the left sidebar and mean the duplicate search there, this tab usually remains active until you manually choose another. Maik
I suspect that Hannesj talk about the icon view items selection which is left when current album changes. Gilles
Hmm, I think it's about the duplicate search tab. If I select a line in the item list with the duplicate images and switch to the physical album tab and go back to the duplicate search, the selection jumps to the top line of the item list. Maik
I mean really left side Similarity-Duplicate menu. I use the Albums and Search selection tables at the same time. I also set restrictions on the Filters on the right. Proposal: There could also be an option to limit the left-hand side of the Similarity-Duplicate options, according to the Filters restrictions. The images currently depend on the Filters options, but the visible menu options are partially empty of the images. The visible options in the Similarity-Duplicate menu could depend on the Filters options on the right. Hannes
Created attachment 138191 [details] Selgitav screenshot here are no pictures in the middle even though a menu item is available. The effect of the filters along with the images could also change the menu items on the left.
I still don't understand the problem. If it is meant that the filter does not affect the list of duplicate images, that is by intention and not a bug. Maik
I'm trying to understand that. My problem is that I have a list of 200, 330 and more similarity sets and I can't quickly find the necessary similarity sets. Setting up a filter removes similarities, but the list you are looking for remains the same - most backs of labels are blank. To search, you have to browse everything from the beginning. It will take a long time. And after performing actions, the list jumps to the beginning position each time. Hannes
