Description jz23 2021-05-04 15:53:44 UTC
SUMMARY
The lock screen does not follow display resolution changes. E. g. when using a notebook with external monitor, the lock screen stays at the size it was at screen locking instead of resizing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock screen
2. Change display setup (connect/disconnect external monitor with different resolution and having the notebook monitor deactivated in system settings)

OBSERVED RESULT
Lock screen stays at the old size. Login and re-lock leads to correct size.

EXPECTED RESULT
Lock screen should follow display resolution.

Also probably related to Bug #440639 (about greeter screen becoming black after unplugging external monitor, which probably share the same root cause, i.e. : kscreenlocker is not aware of the change or does not react to it).
