SUMMARY
5.0 prealpha

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a document, do not place/hover your cursor on the canvas
2. Press tab to activate canvas only mode

OBSERVED RESULT
Krita does nothing. It work after you place the cursor on the canvas at least once.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should work regardless of where the cursor is.

Ok I was kinda wrong on how to reproduce this. Writing it again : 

1. Open/create a document, and click outside the Krita window.
2. Go back to Krita, but do not place/hover your cursor on the canvas!
3. Press tab to activate canvas only mode

Yes, the canvas has to have focus for the tab key press to be registered.

It's not something we can fix, because tab has different meanings depending which part of Krita has focus.

Does that mean there are other necessary usages for tab keys depending on which part has the focus atm?
