This means that KWin crashed. The fact that System Settings crashed too is just a side effect (See https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-85631); what we really need is a backtrace of the kwin_wayland crash that blew everything else up. You may be able to retrieve it with the `coredumpctl` utility.
