Created attachment 137994 [details] lighter colors 2 Also, the black letter is too "heavy". A bit (just a bit) of opacity would make it adapt to the background.
Note: when I said "heavy" I actually meant "harsh". By making the letter a little bit transparent, the letter color would blend in the background, creating more visual balance.
Yeah I agree that these colors are a bit too highly saturated to look ideal.
Instead of color presets, maybe a color picker would be better?
Created attachment 138043 [details] fixed the red color Ops, the red color was the same on both pictures. I fixed it now.
Also, these auto-generated pictures appear in a pixelated way in SDDM. Are they SVG files?
That's already been fixed in Plasma 5.22. :)
great!
There was a merge request for this issue, but in another app. In Plasma 5.22, the default profile picture doesn't have a gradient, but if you change it in System Settings > Users, all of the available options still have the gradient. Also, they have an inconsistent font size compared to the one used in the default profile picture.

Now the default user picture is flat, but the ones available in Settings > Users still have the gradient.
