SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings > SDDM

OBSERVED RESULT

EXPECTED RESULT
Only one theme should be shown, if they are identical. If they are not, then another name should be chosen for the second theme so the user can know the difference between the two themes.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 21.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0

Cannot reproduce, not even with a built-from-source session, which means that identical sessions are being de-duplicated correctly. This seems like it's a packaging bug. I'd recommend that you go bug the Kubuntu folks. :)

It also happens in Neon o_o
Comment 3 Lua 2021-04-28 05:53:18 UTC
Oh, Neon is based in Ubuntu, hehe

Fixing in Kubuntu devel series. Will looks at backporting fix once that seems ok

Great work!
Comment 6 Rik Mills 2021-06-03 12:54:20 UTC
Reverted the fix in Ubuntu for now. Will need to fix it another way as can't do away with the default as ubuntu-theme for sddm, as that is used by Lubuntu and Ubuntu Studio.
