SUMMARY Watching notifications show up in Plasma is painful: it takes 3-4 seconds of rendering artifacts and repositioning, including some notifications randomly jumping to a different screen corner. On the one hand, it motivates me to reduce the number of notifications :) On the other hand, I'd prefer that the ones I need are displayed faster. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use Plasma 2. Receive notifications OBSERVED RESULT See the attachments EXPECTED RESULT Fast and smooth notification display SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Leap 15.2 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.10 Graphics Platform: X11 Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® UHD Graphics

Is your system experiencing high load? I sometimes get this while at 100% CPU usage, but never during normal usage. Seems like a graphical issue rather than anything with notifications per se...
This happens under normal load and only with notifications :)
I get that too when there are a load of notifications on my phone which gets connected though KDEConnect (I usually dont get that many notifications in my desktop so cant comment about that). I have a nvidia card, if that matters.
Ilya, is it still happening in Plasma 5.27? Is this something you've just been living with all this time, or did it ever get better?
This hasn't been happening for a while — I don't remember which version fixed it. Closing as resolved.
Thank goodness! Thanks for following up.
