SUMMARY

After upgrading to 21.04, the "word backward" motion is not working. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a text file with kate
2. Enable Vi mode
3. press b to go 1 word backward

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT

cursor move one word backward

Just to make sure that this isn't config problem, I created new user and it still happens

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma:

KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4

Also if cursor is in middle of the word it work but Not when its at the beginning of the word

I have the same problem. I'm also on arch.
Versions:
 - Kate: 20.12.3
 - Openbox: 3.6.1
Not sure what else might be useful, I can provide more info if needed.

I just realized that I have another machine with almost the same setup that I haven't updated as recently. Here, it is working with Kate 20.12.2!
