SUMMARY I have a SMB/CIFS share mounted on /mnt/users (with mount -t cifs). When the samba server is down and the folder dolphin wants to open after being started is on the share, dolphin will not start. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Mount a SMB share using mount -t cifs anywhere. 2. Use dolphin to open a folder on the share. 3. Close dolphin 4. Somehow disconnect your device and the SMB server. 5. Open dolphin again OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin will create a window and show up in the task bar but in the window nothing will be rendered. When the connection to the share is lost while dolphin is showing a folder on the share, it just freezes. EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin shows a nice error message and continues to function as normal. Hi, have you been able to reproduce this on newer version of Dolphin? Please install debug symbols to Dolphin, KIO and KIO-Extras and send a backtrace if it still crashes. Thank you!
