height is set to 36

If the task bar is set to 46 for the height, we can see the icon. If it's set to 36, icons disappear.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
change the size of the task bar

OBSERVED RESULT
some icons disappear

EXPECTED RESULT
icon should reduce themselves

Which icons? Can you show a screenshot that depicts what it looks when all icons are visible?

Well that's odd. Are these Pinned Task Manager icons, or are they standalone launcher widgets?

These are pinned Task Manager icons. I tested with xOrg and it's fine. It a Wayland issue actually

Cannot reproduce with git master with either a Traditional Task Manager or an Icons-Only Task Manager on any screen edge.

If you have a spacer it should be shown
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a spacer to the panel
2. Have exactly three icons in the manager with the first one not active.
3. The last icon will not show, but there will be a space for it.
4. I can reproduce with different applications/icons and in different size configurations.

Yep the spacer seems like it's causing the issue, and makes this a duplicate of Bug 431615.
