SUMMARY Ark currently doesn't throw any warning when closing its main window while an extraction is in progress. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a larger archive (large enough so you have enough time for step 3) 2. Extract a directory from that archive through drag-and-drop 3. Close Ark's main window while the extraction is in progress EXPECTED RESULTS Ark should throw a warning that closing its main window interrupts the extraction. OBSERVED RESULTS Ark closes without a warning and leaves a partially extracted stuff on the disk. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.21 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2
I would like to submit a patch for this. I have already added an exit confirmation dialog, but am stuck because I can't seem to figure out how to detect if an extraction or compression job is in progress. Some help on this and I'll have a an MR ready. Thanks
