SUMMARY I'm using this applet on my multi monitor setup to disable the secondary display when I'm not using it. However, when I change the display configuration, my secondary screen becomes the primary screen and all my widgets get moved to this screen. So, if I want to disable the secondary screen on the right, suddenly this screen becomes my primary screen and my previously primary screen on the left gets disabled. Same if I click 'extend to the right': Left screen is now secondary, right screen is primary and to move the mouse from left to right I have to move it beyond the left border of the screen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have to displays connected. 2. Disable the secondary screen. OBSERVED RESULT Primary screen is now disabled, secondary screen is enabled. EXPECTED RESULT Primary screen enabled, secondary screen disabled. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.21.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SDDM always chose the wrong screen as primary screen, although my UEFI and GRUB chose the correct one. I therefore added the following line to /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup: xrandr --output HDMI-0 --off DP-4 is my primary screen on the left, HDMI-0 is my secondary screen on the right.
This should hopefully be working a lot better in Plasma 5.25. Can you check again with the 5.25 beta, or else the final release in a month? Thanks!
