missing nw icon

after a previous connected cellphone (usb tethering) get reconnected the network icon is not showing up, neither the connection itself in the networks drop drop down box, just available wifi connection are there as well as the panel icon is the wifi indicator
at this moment I am connected to the internet with the usb tethering, so it works, just the icon is not there

it is happening since after the last update this week

I rewrote the title; let me know if that's not accurate.
Comment 2 Michael 2021-04-15 12:15:15 UTC
to be correct it is not when the connection drops, it is when I pull the cable out of the phone and later plug it in again
thanks

This is working for me now; I've had this use case many times at airports and never found it to be an issue.
