SUMMARY Is it possible to publish Tools/Image quality information figures on the right side under Properties / digiKam Properties STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1.I've researched how image quality works, but it's hard to understand the existing sliders. 2. Since there are several different image quality indicators together, they work alone, but together some, like Detect Noise, start to dominate the others and change the previous results strongly. OBSERVED RESULT Would it make sense to publish numerical figures for Image Quality Sorter results under Properties / digiKam Properties, for example? EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hi, We have proposed a google summer of code project for this summer to improve Image Quality Sorter tool: https://community.kde.org/GSoC/2021/Ideas#Project:_Improve_Image_Quality_Sorter_algorithms Gilles Caulier
Proposal. 1. Algorithm side. The numerical results of the image quality sorter could be stored under Digikam properties and recalculated only if the calculation algorithm is changed. If a new image is added, the calculation could also be done manually at the same time as the image view or as a mass calculation. 2. User side. The currently used set of Image Quality Sorter settings would work to present the numerical results stored in step 1 according to the user's taste and need. It should work much faster due to the lack of recalculation. The user-calculated parameters calculated in point 1 would also allow each user to assess the quality of the algorithm for testing purposes. Hannes
Final student report of IQS tool from digiKam, which have been completely rewritten as you can see : https://community.kde.org/GSoC/2021/StatusReports/PhuocKhanhLE Gilles Caulier
Have the changes been made to Rev .: 6faeb0bff8f99311db30c111a8572a9d340aca14? Hannes
new code is in master since dzw days ago, but we currently review and test. It's not yet finalized
The Image Quality use the Pick Label information to classify aestheticism of images. This pick label information is now shown in the Image Properties tab from right sidebar, inside the "digiKam Properties" section. https://i.imgur.com/mU7hFvL.png Gilles Caulier
