Thanks for your report! Please update to the latest version (20.12.3 at the moment, https://kdenlive.org/en/download/), test again and update this report.

Please not that in general you should avoid to use colon (":") in filenames. I guess that the colon is maybe the cause for the trouble and at least for windows filenames with a colon are not valid.

Please try to remove the colon and tell us if you still have the same problem

I reported a bug specifically related to having a colon in the filename and that seemed to be resolved so it's not supposed to be the colon that is the problem

Just downloaded the lastest appimage and ran it. Same situation
Comment 4 gerrytrevis@gmail.com 2021-05-08 23:48:20 UTC
The problem seems to be the question mark. That's what I experienced today. It wouldn't even let me delete the clip I had
Comment 5 Julius Künzel 2021-05-09 12:33:28 UTC
Thanks for the hint! If I try to import a file with a question mark in the name Kdenlive tells me that the file is invalid file and doesn't load it. Don't you get this message? How have you imported the clip?
Comment 6 gerrytrevis@gmail.com 2021-05-09 21:45:00 UTC
I just tried with the appimage I believe it is Version 20.12.3. Let's me import without any warnings and just doesn't allow me to resize the image at all.

I think but haven't tried, that if the ? comes first it might give a warning. My question marks aren't at the beginning of the file name.

I was able to add and manipulate a PNG with that filename without any issues, using the latest master version. Was not able to reproduce this bug. (Ubuntu 20.04)

Under Windows it's not possible to have file names containing "?" of ":". I tried on 22.04 a PNG with your long name (except the ? and :) and I could lengthen the PNG in the timeline.
