Created attachment 137418 [details] Screencast This time (as opposed to bug 435380), the Crash Reporting Assistant deemed a Krusader bug useful, but it could not connect to bugs.kde.org. Browsing there right then worked just fine (3 out of 3 tries, plus this very bug filing).

Hi, I have the copied here logs from the terminal running drkonqi. Please note this is a Debian Unstable, in case any distro customisation may create this problem. If needed, I can try to provide more info. Was that around the time of your comment or earlier?
(In reply to Harald Sitter from comment #5) > Was that around the time of your comment or earlier? Yes, it was a 2-3 minutes earlier. But I can still replicate it now.
Veryyyyyyyyyyy strange. [ 20.020](47060)/(kf.kio.slaves.http) unknown: Couldn't connect, oopsie! It utterly fails to open the http connection, but doesn't really tell us why. Do you maybe have an (incorrect) proxy configured in system settings or elsewhere?
.
Hi, I can access bugstest.kde.org in Mozilla and even in Konqueror without a problem. I don't have a proxy and in SystemSettings the „No proxy” option is selected. I'm not sure what else to test. Could it be that incompatible library versions are shipped with Debian? This happened a few times over the years, but I'm not sure how to check it now. Alex

It is an option to be sure though I'm not sure what could cause this behavior. It is a very weird problem in particular since the connection works everywhere else. I'm moving the bug to KIO since I am kind of out of ideas. What you could try is open the 'network preferences' settings in systemsettings and check that the values make sense and maybe increase the timeouts a lot, to check if perhaps it's a connection problem. If you have lots of packet loss perhaps the connection simply times out because of that
