Which color theme are you using ? (Configuration Menu - Color Theme)
Thanks for your report! First of all please update to a more recent version (at the moment 20.12.3 is the latest, 21.04 is coming by the end of the week, https://kdenlive.org/en/download/). If the problem persists please try to select the color theme again (menu Settings > Color Theme) and restart kdenlive. Please close this report if this is fixed then otherwise please give us a short note and set the status back to REPORTED
