SUMMARY
Latte is enabling/disabling and tracks two options in kwinrc file:

ModifierOnlyShortcuts/Meta
Windows/BorderlessMaximizedWindows

so it writes the required values in kwinrc file and calls afterwards "/KWin reconfigure" function through dbus. Unfortunately under wayland even though in the past it was working for some releases now it creates a blocking situation on the entire interface.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. login in wayland
2. qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin reconfigure

OBSERVED RESULT
interface becomes blocked

EXPECTED RESULT
interface should reload and work properly afterwards

This bug was reported against an outdated version of KWin. We have made many changes since the. 
If the issue persists in newer versions can you reopen the bug report updating the version number.
