Attempting to set any environment path in `Settings > Configure Kdenlive > Environment` results in a complete freeze of the application, requiring a force close (manual killing of process). The application freezes as soon as the file browser opens to select a location. This is reproducible every time. Nothing appears in the system log (journald). Operating System: KDE neon 5.21 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-70-generic OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 31.1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620
Thanks for your report. I can reproduce if I try to set path in "Default Folder". This seems to be an issue with the folder select dialog (it is the same if you try the folder in Project > Archive Project. (Changed the title)
I have this issue as well, when I click on the browse icon to select a custom project folder in Project>Project Settings File Browser opens but is completely entire Kdenlive application is frozen and I have to kill the application process Issue is repeatable Kdenlive version: 21.04.0 KDE Framewroks: 5.81.0 QT version: 5.15.3 OS: Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS OS Type: 64-bit Gnome Version: 3.36.8 Processor: AMD® Ryzen 5 4500u with radeon graphics × 6 Graphics: AMD® Renoir Memory: 16GB Windowing System: X11
I cannot reproduce the freeze, possibly because of newer version of xdg-desktop-portal, no idea. However, in order to have folder selection dialog to work you need to have https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kio/-/merge_requests/445.
What is the status of this issue? Can we close it?
No, it is not fixed.

I'm running the Kdenlive Flatpak on System76's Oryx Pro 7 and Pop!_OS 20.04. I have a similar issue every time I select "Search Recursively" in the Clip Problems window that pops up after opening a project with missing or moved files. A file browser (a KDE-styled one, not Pop!_OS's) appears with the missing files located, but Kdenlive's main window, the Clip Problems window, and the file browser all become completely frozen and I have to close the program by running "flatpak kill org.kde.kdenlive" in the terminal. OS: Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS Kdenlive: 21.12.3 MLT: 7.3.0 Qt: 5.15.3 (built against 5.15.3 x86_64-little_endian-lp64) Frameworks: 5.92.0 System: KDE Flatpak runtime Kernel: linux 5.16.11-76051611-generic CPU: x86_64 Windowing System: xcb Movit (GPU): disabled Track Compositing: frei0r.cairoblend
To me this seems finally fixed. Feel free to reopen this report in case anything is still missing or the problem shows up again.
