I don't see this happening in the Mar 30 5.0.0-prealpha (git 7783e86c) appimage with the Basic-2 Opacity brush preset. I tried making various change sand also saving as a new preset. The brush size stayed at whatever I'd changed it to.
Not happening here either :( Does it still happen in 5.0?
