Description irchaika 2021-03-30 02:46:09 UTC
SUMMARY
it seems that when you are trying to connect with a different adapter plasma creates a new configuration file for the network and thus asks for a password even if it had been entered previously with a different adapter.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect a second network adapter.
2. try to connect to a network previously configured.

OBSERVED RESULT
plasma asks for password.

EXPECTED RESULT
it should just connect using existing configuration.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.11.6
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
While I don't think having the option to have different configurations for a given network per device is bad, I don't think it should be the default behavior.

Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we didn't manage to get to it yet. Can I ask you to see if this is still happening in Plasma 6.4 or later? Thanks a lot!
