Description Graham Perrin 2021-03-28 09:37:49 UTC
konq:plugins

– includes:

> chromium-pdf mhjfbmdgcfjbbpaeojofohoefgiehjai

– which, from the filename, is (I guess) a PPAPI plug-in for PDF.

----

konq:konqueror/specs

– describes support for:

> NPAPI plugins (for viewing Flash®, etc.)

– does not mention PPAPI.

====

Is there _truly_ still support for NPAPI?

(Note, I do not require NPAPI. This bug is solely for the statements of support.)

Environment:

% pkg query '%o %v %R' konqueror

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS and all related Java/plugin infrastructure) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
