screenshot of cert failure message

When adding a new IMAP account, kmail tries to connect over HTTPS to autoconfig.DOMAIN. In my case, this is a domain which doesn't have autoconfig information, so there's nothing to be found. But the connection attempt triggers a SSL cert warning in a popup dialog, making the setup procedure quite unfriendly for new users. (The popup appears multiple times with always one more "www." added, and the user doesn't really know why this domain is accessed in the first place).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE (if you want to do it with my server config)
1. Add a new account in kmail.
2. Use anything@philipp-wagner.com as username, and choose a random passwort.
3. See the cert error.

OBSERVED RESULT
see screenshot in attachment (sorry, in German)

EXPECTED RESULT

The cert error should not be shown. I can see reasons to both treat a cert error as "unable to obtain data from this domain", or to silently ignore cert errors for this autoconfig stage.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kmail 5.16.3 (20.12.3)
KDE Frameworks 5.80.0
Qt 5.15.2 (kompiliert gegen 5.15.2)
openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210321

I confirm it.
It seems that it"s a bug in kio not kmail.
No idea for the moment.
