Description 7dab773c0c 2021-03-24 04:31:33 UTC
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
kernel 5.4.0-67-generic
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open some pdf via Okular
2. Click on "View on the top left"
3. Eventually unroll "View Mode" just by placing your mouse on it, without clicking
4. Try any combination of keys to trigger a screenshot, it won't happen

One has then to go through video recording and slice one frame out of it, a bit overkill I think.

this is grave for people who want to share tutorials on notebook-style websites instead of heavyweight videos

This is an unfixable bug on X11, because the X server grabs all input while a menu is open, blocking the use of global shortcuts. It cannot be fixed on X11, but is already fixed when using the Wayland session.

As a workaround on X11, you can use Spectacle's timer functionality. Set it to take a screenshot in 2 seconds, and then use those 2 seconds to open the menu you want to include in your screenshot.
