Which MacOS version have you installed exactly? Maik
Note the backward compatibility with MacOS is 10.13. Use last digiKam 7.2.0 PKG published yesterday here : https://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/7.2.0/ Here PKG work as expected on a Macbook pro 2012 running Catalina. Gilles Caulier
