SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Sender has the following name and address:
 "Bli, Mel [Novit XYZ]" <Mel.Bli@novit-xyz.com>

2. I answer the email and send it

OBSERVED RESULT

The email is BOT sent and NOT saved on my server. It is simply gone without any error.

EXPECTED RESULT

The e-mail should be sent. Or Kmail should show an error message.

Sorry for the typo. It should read: the email is NOT sent and NOT...
Comment 2 Laurent Montel 2021-06-18 05:46:54 UTC
For me no problem here.
Can you verify with last version ?
Thanks

Yes, it still does not work. I also tried three different smtp servers just to make sure it is not a provider issue.

An email to an address of the following type is not sent nor stored in any KMail folder - it just vanishes:

"Gerald Drißner [blabla.at]" <testtest@test.at>

I assume that it must be related to the two brackets [] as without them, it works.
