When hovering over something tooltips are slughish.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. hover over some system tray icon until it's tooltip is shown
2. move your cursor over other system tray icons

OBSERVED RESULT
Tooltips are sluggish

EXPECTED RESULT
Tooltips should not be sluggish

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm using NVIDIA so maybe that's the problem :(

even though tooltip are not rendered correctly on wayland (BUG: 434712), they're not sluggish at all, very smooth!

Hmm, that doesn't look sluggish to me; it looks more like it's jerky.

Sorry my english is not that good so it's hard to describe but the tooltip animations are not as fluid as the rest of plasma's animations, is like when you're playing some game and out of the blue, the fps drops.

This bug was reported against an outdated version of KWin. We have made many changes since the. 
If the issue persists in newer versions can you reopen the bug report updating the version number.
