Description Dr. Bernhard Friedrichs 2021-03-22 14:46:03 UTC
SUMMARY
The old konqueror is dead - in the sense of being a filemanager.
setting konqueror as filemanger crashes the system in an endless recursive loop
ref.: https://youtu.be/RzPcH5Fb8ws

Dolphin does not has a bookmarks menu for 100+ bookmarks and CAN NOT use <ctrl + F> for initializing kfind from the actual PWD

The later one is a KDE killer.
To illustrate this problem I have made a video for you.

I hope you find time this year to implement this "Swiss Knife" feature "again".
I have tons of data on widely spread file systems to process....

Kind regards & saying PLEASE,
Dr. Bernhard Friedrichs

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Dolphin does have a bookmarks menu: Go menu > Bookmarks.

it can also open KFind from the Tools menu. You can assign it a shortcut if you prefer.

Instead of Manjaro I tried KDE Neon now in a VM.
I got it here to run.
Thanks.
