Not a bug either. You need to reconfigure kwin not to dim the main window when a dialog opens.

No, we cannot change this -- this isn't controlled by Krita, but by the window manager. Look for something called Desktop Effects or Effects and then Dim parent. Where it is exactly depends on the version of kwin.
