SUMMARY

The translation of the activity to put water on the fire using the mouse isn't right... It says "depth of an u-boat", while it should be "put out the fire" or "blus het vuur" in Dutch. Dutch is my mother language, and i know some English, however i refuse to write i with a capital, because i am not that important. If i die, and i was important enough, then others can say maybe i was important enough. I 'm very autistic but i want to help somehow. Is that in translating English to Dutch, please count me in... In all issues about translation...

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start GCompris
2. Set language to Dutch in Settings and restart GCompris
3. Go to Mouse and Keyboard Activities and you 'll see the mismatch in translation

OBSERVED RESULT
See attachment

EXPECTED RESULT
"Blus het vuur", of "Brand blussen"

Hi,
thank you for your report :).
I've forwarded the issue to the Dutch team (you can register and start discussing with them about how you can help translating, don't hesitate: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-i18n-nl)

You can find other reported bugs to https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?component=nl&list_id=1853143&product=i18n&resolution=--- too.

On a side note, being important or not is not important. You are doing great reporting bugs and, once fixed, it will help children learning the good words, so this is important.

Thank you a lot again for your report.

I fully agree with Johnny that you did the right thing to report this issue. Very much appreciated.

I checked the translation file and found no error there. So I started gcompris on my openSUSE system and found no error there. The only conclusion is that there is something wrong with the implementation on your system. Maybe the wrong text is displayed with the image of vice versa.

So please report this issue to the maintainers of your distribution.

Considering the assistance in translation; please take a look at https://l10n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=nl and browse the six links at the top. You will see that a lot has been fully translated. Only trunk-messages, especially for the website with documentation for krita needs work. One person is working on it, who goes from top to bottom on the list of files. So you may go from the bottom upwards. Please send the finished file directly to me. I also can give you assistence in how to do the translation work.

I close this issue, because it not a KDE issue.

We just released (yesterday) a new version (1.1.0).
It will be soon on your platform or you can download it from https://gcompris.net/index-nl.html.

Can you double-check on this version if the translation is correct?

Thank you
