OBSERVED RESULT Software Updates notification stay on the screen and does not disappear as configured in notifications option "Hide after". SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This notification times out automatically for me. We experimented with making it persistent a few Plasma versions ago but ultimately reverted the change because people found it annoying. Are you sure you're using Plasma 5.21?

Hmm, so you are. No idea then. I wonder if maybe openSUSE makes the notification persistent? Fabian, do you know if there are any distro patches here?
No, the discover notifier is completely vanilla. However, I'm suspecting that this is actually about plasma-pk-updates, which is used by default.
Aha, could be. Is that one sticky? Jerry, Can you please attach a screenshot of the notification you're talking about?

Aha yeah, that's the plasma-pk-updates notification. Worth noting that we tried making Discover's update notification sticky just like this one, and we got similar complaints about it.
